(Yachats, Oregon) – It’s the tiny town that’s big on massive ocean waves. Plus, there’s quite a bit to do in the central Oregon coast hamlet. If you like crab, you’ll love the upcoming crab feed. There are plenty of art happenings, and some music festivals are planned for February as well, but they had not yet nailed down dates for these. Then, Valentine’s Day brings an especially romantic possibility for couples.
Third Thursday of Each Month. Yachats Movie Night. Free movies. Yachats Commons Auditorium, W 4th & Hwy 101. Yachats, Oregon.
First Tuesday of Each Month. Yachats Scrabble Night. Bring your own Scrabble board if you have one, although not necessary. 5:30-7 p.m. Yachats Public Library. Yachats, Oregon.
January 22. Yachats Annual Crab Feed. All you can eat crab with french bread, cole slaw, baked beans, soda or coffee. Advance purchase Dinner Tickets will be available several weeks before the event at Shirley's Gifts in Yachats or from any Yachats Lions member. Special group seatings will also be available. January 29. Stitching Stories – A Yachats Quilt Celebration. The art of quilt making and their significance in Yachats’ social history. Free, but suggested donation. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 541-547-5143. Yachats Commons Auditorium, Hwy 101 & W 4th. Yachats, Oregon.
February 12 – 13. Yachats Winter Arts Fest. Yachats Commons, W 4th & Hwy 101. Yachats, Oregon.

March 19-20. 41st Annual Original Yachats Arts & Crafts Fair. 75 selected artists of the Pacific Northwest. Free Admission. Treasures found include Native American carvings and artifact art, original paintings and prints, sculpture, stained glass, etched and fused art glass, woodwork, ceramics, textiles, kelp and paper art, jewelry, musical instruments, photography, toys, fine leather, artisan soaps, specialty foods and more. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Yachats Commons, W 4th & Hwy 101.
