(Lincoln City, Oregon) – Lincoln City novelist Suzy Nelson makes an appearance in her home town on December 3, appearing at the Driftwood Library.
Nelson, who has written one other book, will be speaking about her latest novel, “ After the Last Bell Rings.” Her talk begins at 3 p.m.
This is Nelson’s second book. Her first, called “Andy's Story: The Reincarnated Cat,” was a children's book that came out in 2009.
The latest is a kind of mystery novel, based on Nelson's actual experiences in a classroom plagued by gang activity. It centers around a teacher forced to deal with gangs in her school as well as an overbearing boss who tries to force her to quit her job. There is a love interest in her life, as some other plot twists culminate in her accidentally taking her boss' life.
Nelson's talk is free. Driftwood Public Library is located on the second floor of the City Hall building in Lincoln City at 801 SW Highway 101, next to the Price and Pride grocery store. 541-996-1242.
