History
of BeachConnection.net
Oregon Coast Beach Connection/BeachConnection.net
has its roots in a magazine that was on the central coast for
almost ten years. As it changed hands over time, it became obvious
the technology of the Internet and of handheld devices was going
to eliminate the need for print publications eventually, having
made sizable dents in that industry already . It was decided in
the summer of 2005 that the switch would be made to the Net, and
in early 2006 the current model of BeachConnection.net came into
existence, as daily news stories began circulating on Google news
and a variety of other news and RSS feed networks.
In late 2007, the website began utilizing video
on top of the other various cutting edge techniques for distributing
content, and now has a growing number of coastal videos on YouTube.
More unusual and visionary approaches will be added to the website
soon.
